ADD/ADHD Treatment Baltimore

ADHD, which is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and ADD, which is Attention Deficit Disorder, are two different ways of describing the same condition.  This condition begins in childhood and can persist into adulthood.  Often, but not always, when the condition is diagnosed in children it is more likely referred to as ADHD because hyperactivity may be an obvious feature, and ADD in adults when inattentiveness, procrastination, absentmindedness, difficulty with time management, and being disorganized may be the most prominent features (please see July 3, 2010 Blog for more info on this).  This lack of prominent hyperactivity can account for the condition going unrecognized until adulthood.  Nonetheless, there are certainly adults with a very hyperactive form of the condition too.  Adult ADD can cause depression, low self-esteem, frustration, irritability, and difficulty with careers and relationships.
